INTO EVERY SUMMER A LITTLE RAIN MUST FALL...

Summertime means sun and fun but every now and then we have a few rainy days to help us appreciate the otherwise great weather.

There are hundreds of amazing activity ideas to keep the kids occupied during the rain.  Here are just a few to inspire you!

Blanket Forts
This was my favorite as a kid. All it takes are blankets to drape over chairs and other furniture to build an indoor fort and let their imagination run wild. Forts can be simple or complicated with LED lights. Maybe kids are explorers in the artic or on an animal photo safari mission in the amazon. The fort could also be an amazing underwater world where kids swim with dolphins and whales. The only limits here are your child’s imagination. Go ahead mom, crawl into that fort and have some fun! Paper Plate Hats
Who knew paper plates could be so much fun! Take any paper plate, fold it in half, cut out a design from the middle and wear as is or decorate with paint and craft items you have laying around the house! (photo: duitang.com)

Hide and Seek
Always a favorite, hide and seek is fun for kids and adults. Guess a number 1-10 to decide who is it. The person who has the number is it! The person closes their eyes and counts to 30 to give everyone a chance to hide. Now remember, don’t hide anywhere dangerous like the dryer or washing machine. There are dozens of places to hide in the house. First person found is it! Have fun! (photo: http://fbcperry.blogspot.com)

Every day is a great day! Happy Rainy Day!
